Criminal justice is composed of three basic areas, and to prepare students for a variety of career opportunities, a criminal justice school should feature a number of classes in each area.
Students at a quality criminal justice school will receive career training in three areas:
The Criminal Justice program at Brown College features a balanced curriculum teaching the three facets of criminal justice both through classroom lectures and practical experience. This practical experience is gained through internships (students are required to take either one or two internships depending on which program they choose) class exercises, and guest lectures from criminal justice professionals in the Minneapolis area. These practical learning opportunities are designed to teach students what is required in any of the three areas of criminal justice.
