For 32 years, Richard and Helen Brown helped shape career-focused education. Harboring a deep interest in radio and broadcast, in 1946 the couple established the American Institute of the Air to train students interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting.

We can’t promise you’ll make it to the Hall of Fame. But twenty-three graduates of Brown College did. And so did our founders.

Minnesota is known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes. The twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul boast 25 lakes just within city limits! There are many seasonal recreational activities revolving around the lakes including swimming, skiing, fishing, hockey and ice fishing.

Brown College is located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, with a branch campus in Brooklyn Center. Both campuses are conveniently located near major highways and have access to public transportation.

The college voluntarily undergoes periodic accrediting evaluations by teams of qualified examiners. These examiners include subject matter experts, specialists in occupational education, and professionals in private college administration.
