Student Life

Brown College's Career-Services Department is committed to providing you with the knowledge, support and resources you'll need to prepare for opportunities throughout the Broadcasting, Business, Design, Technology, Healthcare or Criminal Justice industries. Our support process begins as soon as you become a student and continues through graduation and beyond.

The Career Services Department is the liaison between students and employers, serving the students by promoting Brown College to prospective employers.

Our staff is dedicated to assisting students in developing a career plan and supporting them in the process of obtaining employment in their field of study after graduation. Services provided by the Career Services staff include:

  • Personal career counseling sessions with a Career Services staff member
  • Individual career planning
  • Interviewing techniques
  • Resume preparation
  • Employer search
  • Part-time job assistance while in school
  • Classroom and employer presentations
  • On-campus employer recruitment
  • Internet job seeking website listings

We also offer periodic field trips, guest lectures and other activities that bring students into direct contact with prospective employers and work sites. Student internships are available in many programs. Job fairs at the College give students the opportunity to meet directly with many potential employers, opening the door for interviews and employment opportunities.
