The first annual Brown College Alumni Scholarship Dinner was held Saturday, September 15th at TECHNIQUE Restaurant in Mendota Heights. The evening featured performances and speeches by many alumni. Mike Kronforst, a 40-year employee of Brown, served as the Master of Ceremonies. Alumni traveled from as far as Florida to be entertained by alumnus Mike McKay who performed with his wife as Mr. and Mrs. Magic. The night included special remarks from President Dr. Michele Ernst, Past Scholarship Winner Siobhan Kierans, and Keynote Speaker Beth Bednar. Guests dined on stuffed pork, chicken, delicious roasted vegetables, skin on mashed potatoes, wine, and amazing chocolate cake created by the Chefs and students of Le Cordon Bleu. Over $2,000.00 was raised for the CESF in silent auction items donated by alumni and area businesses. A special thanks to the Alumni Board, those who donated items for the auction, Le Cordon Bleu President Kevin Sanderson, the Student Ambassadors, staff, faculty, and alumni who attended.
