Explore the Twin Cities
Although they are separated by the Mississippi River, Minneapolis and Saint Paul are virtually one city. Mendota Heights is a thriving suburb south of the Twin Cities and only minutes from the Mall of America, our nation’s largest retail and entertainment complex. Brown’s Brooklyn Center Campus is conveniently located near the western and northern suburbs.
As a student at Brown College, you'll have the opportunity to live, study, work and play in a vibrant, thriving metropolitan area. Minneapolis-St Paul is second only to New York City in per capita attendance at theater and cultural events. The cities are also home to two renowned art museums, the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Walker Art Center, and the internationally acclaimed Minnesota Orchestra.
If you are a sports enthusiast, the Twin Cities are home to the Minnesota Twins, Timberwolves and Wild of MLB, the NBA and the NHL, respectively.
Minnesota is known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," and the Twin Cities boast 25 lakes just within city limits. There are many seasonal recreational activities revolving around the lakes including swimming, skiing, fishing, hockey and ice fishing. The cities also have 170 parks and over 50 miles of bicycling and rollerblading trails for you to explore.
